The band's debut album, The Glow Of Love, was released in 1980 and featured the million seller A Lover's Holiday. The follow up hits, Searching and the title song feature lead vocals by the then unknown Luther Vandross. The three songs combined spent 9 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Disco charts, enough to make it the #1 Disco album of the year and a million seller in the U.S.

Cameo is a funk-influenced R&B group that was formed in the early 1970's. Cameo was initially a 13-member group known as the New York City Players, this name was later changed to Cameo to avoid confusion with another popular group of that era. Since then, Cameo has become a critically acclaimed group with several hits to their name. A few of the original members still continue to perform together, while two others have been recently hired by popular hip-hop group Outkast.

Break-dance, breaking, b-boying is a street dance style that evolved as part of the hip hop movement among African American and Puerto Rican youths in Manhattan and the South Bronx of New York City during the early 1970s. It is normally danced to electro or hip hop music, often remixed to prolong the breaks, and20is a well-known hip hop dance style. Break-dancing involves the dance elements of toprock, downrock, freezes, and power moves. A break-dancer, breaker, b-boy or b-girl refers to a person who practices break-dancing.
